I don’t blog, because bloggers are losers. I don’t read blogs for the same reason. I spend my idle ‘Net time reading every single Digg post, or trite celebrity gossip, or the cool thing-of-the-day at BoingBoing. But recently, I read How To Be A Girl Bully via a Digg post. It was interesting, mostly because girls don’t act that way. Not that they shouldn’t, they just don’t. Then, 2 days ago, Digg led me to If You’re Functioning, You’re Not An Alcoholic. Wow. Not only is that exactly how I feel (my Dad was a “functioning alcoholic”, more on that later), but, again, most people don’t have the stones to say it, loud and proud. I started looking around on the site, and realized I’d been there before, and had read a few posts. But as I started to read more, I found the most amazing thing: this girl is just like me. Well, not really. She’s way more cool, and doesn’t proofread real good. But being a misanthrope seems to come naturally to me; I’m widely hailed as a troll in the forums I frequent. I guess that’s why I’m divorced, with no friends within 1000 miles, and only cats for company. Oh yeah, and my teenage son. I would post pictures, but VA would not look kindly on me if I did. If she even knew I existed. Which she doesn’t.
I will post more later, but someone is bitching for me to post something, and George Lopez is on.

I’m glad you don’t live in a world where girls act that way. ‘Cause my entire school year does.
